What are some quick, but Healthy Choices for Breakfast?

As a college student, I know more than anybody that a lot of our meals are quick and on the go.  Sure a Pop-Tart is easy to grab and run, but there are plenty of other healthy choices that are easy and benefit us throughout the day.  Little  meals such as small cartons of low-fat yogurt are a good combination of carbohydrates and protein.   These can easily fit into your backpack or purse, and require little or no utensils at all.  Preparing a mini jug of fruit or vegetables can substitute eating that greasy and fattening pepperoni roll.  An energy bar, relatively small, can pack 3 to 5 grams of fiber and 10 grams of protein.  Just a quick thought, before you grab that pop tart or chocolate chip bar remember there are alternative ways to become healthy but also fit the needs of a hungry college student.

  1. As far as on the go healthy breakfast choices there are limited options but as you said there are indeed options nonetheless to take. I agree that low-fat yogurt is a great substitute and can easily be upgrades and made into a little parfait by adding some granola and fruit, which would take roughly 3-5 minutes to prepare. I, myself, am a fan of getting up a little extra early and making a nice breakfast of eggs and toast that way trying to keep breakfast as one of my biggest meals to keep my metabolism going for the day, but as you said if you are on the go and looking for healthy choices there are options.
